Home Inspectors & Specialty Inspection Services
The inspection companies below offer a full spectrum of services and have delivered consistent results for our clients. Services range from general home inspections to specialty inspections for pools, waterfront docks and bulkheads, sprinkler systems, well/septic and more.
In most cases, residential buyers use the Option Period to get a home inspection to determine if there are any serious issues with the property or repairs needed in order to proceed with the deal. Our team assists in scheduling inspections to help ensure there’s time to complete inspections, review findings, and negotiate repairs (if needed) within your Option Period.
Surveyors
The following survey companies provide a complete range of existing home, new construction, unimproved lot, and rural land/acreage surveys throughout our region.
Pickering & Associates
Works throughout the Greater Houston Region.
Northside Land Surveying
Works throughout the Lake Conroe, Montgomery Co. and Grimes Co. region.
In most cases, a survey is required to close a real estate transaction (condos and townhomes are the usual exceptions). If a seller has an existing survey, you may not need a new survey. However, mortgage lenders and title companies may require one if the existing survey is old or if there have been property improvements since the last survey. It’s always a good idea to get a new, accurate survey if there’s a question on property boundaries, easements, or location of improvements on the property.
Waterfront & Custom Home Builders
There are plenty of custom home builders throughout the region — but not all readily offer expertise in waterfront details, like enhanced foundations. The custom home builders below have proven track records for delivering the added engineering and foundation elements needed to stabilize waterfront foundations. Of course, this is just a starting point… we’re happy to help you identify other builders for your unique needs!
